Permanent collection
Herbert Bayer’s Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks shapes circles, cones, berms and channels into a stormwater detention system at the entrance to a Kent park. The forms move and temporarily hold water.
The work
Mown geometric forms meet woodland, with concrete elements and a wooden bridge.
Before you go
In wet weather the forms fill and the drainage system can be seen working. Stay out of them when flooded.
